Heidrick & Struggles

Redesign an integrated development report for executive professionals utilizing a style guide and meaningful data visualizations to offer leadership insights.

Background

Heidrick focuses on executive level search. They want to build a portfolio of products that are consultative and build tools they can sell directly back to executive folks with a focus on surveys and assessments.

Risks and challenges

We had a short time frame to get a lot of work completed without having a dedicated team. We also needed to work around time zone differences with offshore developers.

Style guide

In collaboration with some talented designers at Think Company, we created a style guide to outline the elements of the PDF product.

We also put together guidelines for visual elements. I was heavily involved in creating the solar system element that represented the four main components of the report.

Design

We conducted ideation sessions with Heidrick stakeholders to refine concepts for design efforts, and we produced wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to reflect the results of these sessions.

My team and I also collaborated to create some really cool, innovative data visualizations and visual elements. Here’s a look at some that I worked on.

Outcome

Ultimately, the Heidrick stakeholders struggled to internally align on a path forward within the time constraints of the project, but we were able to deliver high-quallity designs they could implement later using their existing developer, Tazio.
